The name is believed to derive from Tullamareena, a young member of the Wurundjeri (who later in 1838 got away from the first Melbourne Gaol, burning it down at the same time) according to Reverend Langhorne, a consultant to the very first federal government property surveyor, Robert Hoddle. Forty years ago the area was called as Toolimerin.
The primary school was on land now in the airport (south of Victoria Street) and the post workplace was near the contemporary Tullamarine Reserve. Initially Tullamarine extended westwards to the Organ Pipes National Park, and the nearby area bounded by the Maribyrnong River, Jacksons Creek and Deep Creek was called Tullamarine Island because of the troubles dealt with by occupants in getting throughout the watercourses during wet weather.
When the land in the Tullamarine Parish was partitioned into farm lots in 1842 just one lot sold, and the rest were offered by selection in 1850. A Wesleyan school was opened in 1855 and two other schools in 1859 and 1864. The Wesleyan one continued up until the State main school was opened in 1884. Tullamarine Post Office opened on 4 March 1859. By 1865 Tullamarine had a district and a hotel population of about 200 individuals.
In 1988, Anthony Rowhead of F.A.C. developed a plan to rename roadways within the airport after aborigines, and leaders of Tullamarine and aviation. It was totally developed when it was cancelled at the last moment with no reason provided, with Gowrie Park Drive the only called roadway. It was called after the farm owned by James Lane in the 1920s when it was used as a landing ground by those daring boys who would check out the Inverness Hotel (near the north end of the runway). When Donovans had the farm throughout World War II, aircrafts were parked there overnight in case a battle raid struck Essendon Aerodrome.

Every standard clean that we do is a whole house clean covering all areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, lounge & living rooms, laundry. You can choose to include add-ons to your clean such as oven cleaning, cleaning inside the fridge, and carpet cleaning and a range of other add-ons. Feel free to leave additional notes in your account during checkout, or contacting us to provide instructions for the cleaners.

No you don't need to be home during the service.
Some customers do like to be home for the whole clean, some prefer to meet their cleaning professional first then get them to lock up when they are done.
As long as our cleaners have clear instructions on how to gain access into your home, we will take care of the rest. Many of our customers prefer to schedule their clean during the workday, so they can come home to a sparkling clean house.
There are no lock in contracts with Sparkle and Shine. You are free to cancel or reschedule whenever you want so long as its not within 48 hours of a booking.
Last minute cancellations and reschedules cause our cleaning professionals to lose valuable work hours. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 48 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees.
